Terms of Use
By installing or using Stillness, you agree to these terms. They're short because the relationship is simple: we provide guided audio sessions; you use them respectfully and for personal, non-commercial purposes.
1. Wellness, not medicine
Stillness is wellness software, not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional advice. It's not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you're working with a clinician on sleep, anxiety, substance use, or anything else, keep doing that. Don't use Stillness while operating a vehicle or machinery.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us if your account is compromised. You must be old enough to consent to data processing in your country (typically 13, sometimes 16).
3. Subscription and billing
Some content requires an auto-renewing subscription, sold through Apple. The price and renewal period are shown to you before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. Request them at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its audio content.
- Use Stillness to build a competing product.
- Try to access other users' accounts or data.
- Use the service to harass anyone, distribute malware, or break the law.
5. Content we license to you
Stillness audio sessions, copy, and visuals are owned by Paper Plan LLC or our licensors. While your subscription is active, you have a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to listen to them through the app. You don't own the audio files.
6. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee particular outcomes (e.g., that you will sleep better, drink less, or feel calmer). Hypnotherapy results vary.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paper Plan LLC's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Termination
You can stop using Stillness at any time and delete your account from Profile → Delete Account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we do, we'll usually tell you why.
9. Changes
If we change these terms in a material way, we'll update the date above and notify active users in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction.
